The title is from the short poem "We Are Only Ourselves" by Robert Penn Warren, the first two lines of which are: "We never know what we have lost, or what we have found. / We are only ourselves, and that promise."
Born with a wide-ranging curiosity. Now I find myself more often in need of contemplation and quiet, less in need of fast-moving exploration. There's so much to see right in front of us.
